A North Sea Perspective on Shipping, Energy and Environment Aspects in MSP

Description

Maritime Spatial Planning (MSP) is a useful tool to balance often competing user interests and environmental protection aims but can only be effective, if national plans are coordinated and not contradictory. NorthSEE launches a sea-basin wide coordination process among authorities in the North Sea Region aimed at achieving greater coherence in MSP for three transnational topics: environmental aspects, shipping routes and energy infrastructure.
