PHOSphorus Recovery from waste water FOR YOUr Life

Description

The project addresses the phosphorus (P) challenge. It geographically covers rural, urban and port areas in NWE. It specifically targets P recovery from municipal WWTP. NWE imports 100% of its mineral P-need while 45% of the demand could be supplied by P-recovery and recycling. The recovery potential of P municipal sewage water is estimated to cover 26% of the mineral P-demand in NWE. The project expects to tap 3.5% of this potential when the project ends, 35% after 5 years and 90% after 10 years.
