Zero Waste Scotland is delighted to announce that Scotland has been selected as this year's host nation for Circular Economy Hotspot #CEHotspotScot – a major international event and trade mission to showcase our nation's progressive approach to developing a circular economy and the best of our burgeoning circular businesses to a global audience.
Zero Waste Scotland will welcome the world’s leading decision-makers, trade representatives, investors and circular economy entrepreneurs.
The unmissable programme will include visits to pioneering Scottish businesses, sessions led by the country’s foremost names in circular economy policy and innovation, and extensive networking opportunities. We are also working with our partners Glasgow Chamber of Commerce who will be hosting a Circular Glasgow Showcase as part of our programme.
Circular Economy Hotspot Scotland is supported by funding from both the Scottish Government and the European Regional Development Fund through the £73million Resource Efficient Circular Economy Accelerator Programme.
Following large-scale inaugural events in The Netherlands and Luxembourg, the Hotspot will demonstrate Scotland's award winning progress as a leading circular economy nation on the world stage. It follows global recognition at the World Economic Forum, where Scotland received the award for Circular Economy Nations and Regions in the high profile Circulars Awards in 2017.
The unmissable programme will include visits to pioneering Scottish businesses, and sessions led by some of the country's foremost names in circular economy policy and innovation. There will also be unique networking opportunities for delegates and a platform for the scale of opportunity for sustainable investment in Scotland to be explored.
The key to a successful Circular Economy Hotspot Scotland will be in collaboration with our stakeholders. More details will be available soon regarding programme, venue, and keynote speakers.
