Connecting Europe Facility (2014-2020)

€ 21,936,760,000

Connecting Europe Facility
European Union Funding
for Research & Innovation
Purpose The Connecting Europe Facility will support the development of high-performing, sustainable and efficiently interconnected trans-European networks in the field of energy, telecommunications and transport; building missing cross-border links and removing bottlenecks along main trans-European transport corridors. CEF will allow the construction of projects that would not be taken up by the market otherwise. Creating a centrally managed infrastructure fund will minimise the administrative burden and decrease the costs for the EU budget by promoting synergies on project and programme level.
