Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) Launches €36 million EU Funding Opportunity to Digitally Connect Europe
The 2020-22 Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) Telecom has launched a call for proposals, with €36 million readily available to stimulate and support the deployment of European Digital Service Infrastructures (DSIs). CEF Telecom is seeking to fund projects of common interest that will improve the lives of citizens, businesses and public administrations alike, as well as contribute to the wider development of a Digital Single Market in Europe.
Under the CEF Telecom call, proposals from the following areas are welcomed from all EU Member States, as well as Norway, Iceland and the UK:
- Business Register Interconnection System (BRIS);
- eArchiving, eHealth and eProcurement;
- European Digital Media Observatory;
- European Platform for Digital Skills and Jobs; and
- Public Open Data.
Applicants must demonstrate sufficient maturity and contribute to policies under the EU Digital Single Market. Submissions can be made under the individual call pages, and the deadline for submissions is currently 5 November 2020.
